Naika for Victoria 4.0, 4.1 AND 4.2 - Tutorial

This short tutorial will show you how to use NaikaV4 in no time. Just follow the different steps depending if your character is using props, clothing, or if you are using more than one V4. Please follow the instructions if you are planning to use more than one character with NaikaV4 in your scene at a time, because some poses work only with the first character in the scene. But this limitation can be bypassed following the Step 4's indications.

STEP 1 - CHARACTER CREATION

Start by creating a new scene and loading a Victoria4.0 or higher, like in the image. Don't load any texture yet, the textures consume RAM and slow down any further process

Browse for props/! NaikaV4 and double click on !NaikaV4 icon. The changes on V4 will appear and a little "N" icon will show up at the figure's right, below the hip height.

Load your clothing and conform it to the figure. You will notice that the clothing seems not to conform well. This happens because the NaikaV4 magnets have not been activated on the clothing yet.

Go to pose/! NaikaV4pose and use the !Magnetize Clothing pose to activate the NaikaV4 magnets on every clothing item. You may also need to run the DAZ 's !Magnetize to V4 pose if you want to activate the V4's built-in magnets.

From very small to really big, the Naika breasts options are endless. There are 4 breasts types with many remotely controlled magnets to guarantee the best results at any breast size. That special design may drive to pokethroughs or problems conforming some clothes, specially when using many dials at once.

If you see any pokethrough around the breast area after magnetizing the clothing, use the !Breast Cloth Fit pose on the clothing to fix it. In some cases you may need to run the !Glute Cloth Fix (only if you spread Vicky's thighs beyond 30º)

You may also want to disable the NaikaV4's nipples using the !Nipples Off pose on Victoria 4, and you're done! Now double click the green N icon to find the dials, and start creating your own magneto-character!

STEP 2 - DEFORMING PROPS

NaikaV4 can deform props like chockers or belts. To do so you need to rename the prop to the name of the figure part the prop is parented to, followed by "prop". As exemple, if your prop is a necklace it must be parented to the neck, so you have to change the name to "neckprop".

Once you have renamed all of the props, run the Magnetize Props pose and all the props will conform to your character. Please note that due to some internal name limitations the Disable Duplicated pose don't works with props.

STEP 3 - THE FIXER

Some clothing may not conform well, even after using the !Breasts Cloth Fit pose. That's the reason we created The Fixer, special version for Naika. As its name says, it can fix any problem on the clothing, like low poly mesh or unusual designs.

An exemple clothing. We can't fix the strange effect under the breasts using the !Magnetize Clothing and the !Breasts Cloth Fit poses. Let's load The Fixer, select the clothing item and doubleclick on The Fixer icon.

Loading The Fixer fixed the problem, no need to use any dial. Not all the clothing will require the use of The Fixer, but you can load it on your clothing anyway, to achieve cool effects with a bit of practice! Double click the dark green F icon to find The Fixer's dials.

An exemple of the The Fixer's utility, creating some new shapes on the same clothing of the images above. The Fixer comes with a built-in utility called Center.

Combine NaikaV4 and The Fixer to make your characters unique! How to find the dials referred in the instructions above: double click the green Naika icon (N) to find the Naika's dials. Double click the dark green F to find The Fixer's dials.

STEP 4 - MULTICHARACTER

Now save your character to the library. This step is important if you want to use more than one character with NaikaV4 at once. Save the different characters you want to use with their different clothing, and open a new scene.

Use an untextured V4 to make the posing, or load your first character if you want to use it to do the pose. The first character will load just fine, but the second character with NaikaV4 in the scene may load with strange deformations on the clothing. This is a Poser bug that has nothing to do with Naika.

Use the Disable duplicated pose on every altered clothing item. If you save your scene in .pz3 you will find duplicated deformers on some clothing piece at the opening. Simply run the Disable Duplicated pose again. Due to internal names limitations, this pose won't work with props.
